Sustainable Future 2025, Innovations and Best Practices for Reducing Carbon Footprint

28th of November 2024

SONATA coordinator Dr Tijana Nikolić Lugonja and co-coordinator Dr Maja Arok participated in an open discussion regarding the use of Nature-based Solutions and SONATA project framework as a mean of providing a part of the solution to facing climate change and future food production challenges.  The event was organised by Wireless Media Group Foundation within the multi-year series of conferences under the name “Re-set Summit”.

The goal of this event was to encourage dialogue and joint action between the representatives of the public and private sectors, as well as professionals and experts in the field, to exchange ideas and develop strategies for reducing carbon emissions and preserving natural resources. During three panel discussions, the participants analysed challenges and opportunities, shared examples of good practise and discussed the application of modern approaches and standards.

The conference took place at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, supported institutionally by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, PE “Srbijašume,” PE “Vojvodinašume,” and the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Belgrade. Additional support was provided by the WMG Foundation of Vrnjačka Banja Municipality, ProCredit Bank Serbia, and the Green Building Council of Serbia.
